WAYS OF WORKING

Designing a custom made kitchen or cabinet? Is this difficult? Hoe does it work? What is the price? Just a few questions that arise in a first meeting. By explaining the steps in the process of ordering and designing a custom made cabinets we will explain how it works:

1 – First contact

The first conact about your kitchen or cabinet project will take place by phone, in the showroom, per email or on location. The meaning of the first contact is to get to know your wishes. Therefore we receive as much as possible information about your interior wishes. Drawings, measurements, moodboards, example pictures are important elements for us. In this way we can give direct advice about what we think is nice and what is possible. With bigger projects we will come to your location in order to make the right estimations of the interior projects. We always ask our clients to prepare themselves. After a first meeting we will continue with making the offer and advice. We deliver our projects throughout the whole country but especially in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Den Haag.

2- Offer and Advice

After the first collection of information is done we will work out everything in a descriptive offer and advice. Sometimes we will already work out a small sketch. The price indication of the furniture project will be mentioned but besides we will mention a description of materials, finishing, details and measurements of the project. Sometimes it is difficult to give a price straight away as much is depending on the choices and materials and complexity of the fitting job of the custom made cabinet.

3- Design of the Project

After the offer is discussed and appointments about the interior project are made we will work out all ideas in several 3D and 2D designs. The designs will be adapted to your wish until they are perfectly fine and to your wish. This is the nicest step in the process and there will be a lot of contact between the interior designers in Amsterdam and the clients.

4- Measuring & Final details.

During the last phase of the design we will make an appointment on location to discuss the last details and to take measurements. Often we need to slightly change the design after measurements are taken. During this meeting we will take the time to discuss all ins and outs of the projects. We speak through the planning, details like knobs, final changes and coordination points. During this visit we will also discuss and advice colors and paints. Sometimes the measurement phase will take place earlier in the project. .

5- Order and Contract

As soon as the final choices are made we will set up a small contract and we will send the invoice for the 25% downpayment. Then we will order all furniture and everything will be produced. The lead time of your project is around 4-6 weeks.

6- Installation

As soon as My House Amsterdam knows when the projects are arriving in our warehouse we will make a planning together when to install the furniture. The installation of the interior projects and cabinets will take a few days but always depends on the size and complexity of the job. It is a real and difficult carpentry job so our cabinet makers will really take time to finish your products perfectly!
