Walkin closet Amsterdam

Bespoke walkin closet in luxury style. In one of our Amsterdam clients’ houses we have designed a walk in closet as a very luxury wardrobe. The dream of every luxury household is to have space to have a designed clothing cabinet for good and organised dressing and gorgious outlooks of course. The model of the bespoke cabinet is classic and the interior design of this walkin closet is made by MyHouse in close coöperation with the client. Everything cabinet is designed bespoke and to the clients’ exact wish.

Custom made designed wardrobe and walkin closet

Custom made luxury wardrobe in Amsterdam. The client came to us with a very broad and free

format wish. We want a luxury walkin closet and bespoke storage solution for our new appartment. We then first had a good and long discussion as an intake and inventorisation of the wishes. The first decision was about the outlook and the style of the cabinet of course. The wishes were clear, the outlook needs to be classical but the spaces have to be open so the clothes can be visible and there is a practical usage of the closet.

So one of the wishes was to have the cabinet practical with a lot of drawers and easy access to accesoires like ties, buttons and belts. Then for us as interior designers it was up to design and come with ideas. In this part of the process we have started with the 3D design process. In this part we visit the space, take measurements and we start with the designs. All designs are really elaborate, in color and very realistic. At the bottom of this article we have included also the 3D designs of the project and the wardrobe.

In the design we habe chosen for very warm colors that go with the nice oak flooring in the appartment.

Colors and design of the walkin closet

The outside colors and frames are made in a classical style furniture with nice profiles and plinths. Then all the insides are made in a nice wood color that corresponds with the floors in the appartment. The whole appearance is very luxurious in this way. Of course during the design process we have introduced different colors for the outlook. Somehow the white version came out very clinic and the greener version is much warmer.

There are three other design features of this bespoke walkin closet wardrobe that came to life during the design process. They are all nice additions to the hanging and shelving spaces.

Bench and island in the cabinet

The first one is the island in the middle with the bench. In this was you can dress easily and place your clothes on the island. Also the top of the island is made with glass above the drawer. In this way you can see exactly what is inside the drawer.

Vanity unit

The other feature here is a vanity unit, they are visible on the design in 3D. So on the bench you can sit and dress. In the vanity unit we have placed a mirror and you can sit down and do make-up. All very practical additions. So a walkin closet is not only storage but a full lifestyle organisation with all luxury options.

Then the third feature that comes to the eye is the special division in the cabinet we made for ties. They are all custom designed small boxes for the organisation of accesoired and ties. Almost like a designer clothes or jewellery shop.
