Horeca interior

Last summer we had the opportunity to design and install the interior of a full restaurant, shop and lobby area for one of the Roompot holiday parcs in the south of Holland. Of course the job was done in cooperation with architects and the renovation company in order to achieve the best result.

The interior project included a full bar over the lenght of the area, a shopping display cabinet, room dividers and diverse cabinets and a reception work area to receive all the guests in the park.

Designing an interior project; how does it work?

How does an interior project work for horeca and restaurant business work in practice.

From our studio in Amsterdam we first of all inventorise the different wishes of the parties involved with the interior and horeca project. First of all we zoom in on the outlook of the space combined with the basic functionality, for this part 3D design and visuals are made.

The design of the bar was done first as here all fittings for the beer, coffee and pipes had to be organised.

After agreement on visual designs the focus is fully on the technique and functionality so everyone has a full and efficient use of the interior space. AutoCad drawings are shared amongst the various parties in this stage.

Oak slatted walls

The bar is made with a bottom of bespoke oak slats from the front and cabinets from the working side, the bar surface area itself is made with stainless steel and composite countertops. The top part of the bar is made as a bespoke steel construction with steel and glass shelves to serve out the glasses and utensils.

It is a nice design with vintage oak elements combining with black steel and nice glass elements. In this way it gives an open and warm feeling to the space.

Attached to this bar area is a display work cabinet. As our bespoke furniture in Amsterdam this has to be a combination between usage and outlook. Here we planned carefully with the restaurant manager to see what works best for the staff, so a good efficient and ergonomic way of working is possible. Also the bespoke cabinet serves as a coffee station. The cabinet is made in the style of the bar.

Bespoke bar furniture

In front of the bar there is a display cabinet that serves as a shopping and baking off area. The bespoke cabinet is made with oak slatted walls and ready made retail slatwalls to hang and display supplies. The top of the cabinet is made with steel elements and dividing shelves. Also here for the usage we have used stone countertops.

The reception is made with slatted oak walls and at a height that is easy to sit and to stand. Also here we followed the bar project idea for the outlook. So with oak wood and stone composite countertops.

Room dividers in oak

Between the different sections of the lobby and restaurant the interior project designer has made oak slatted walls with small open spaces between the slats. This is thicker model then the furniture with the slatted vintage oak wall. Anyway the give a warm but also a spacious feel to the room.

Then further in the space we have several display cabinets that are made bespoke. Here we have several bespoke interior cabinets for display of magazines of a cabinet made as a disposal cabinet.

Project & Design

Interior designs and project design are a very satisfying and challening part of the business. Bigger spaces need to be functional, commercial but also in line with the latest trends. Also extra furniture accesoires like lights, ledlights, appliances need to be integrated in the project. The result is always stunning as and the guests and the staff enjoys the nice workspace.

The colors chosen in this horeca interior project are natural and calming, The warm walnut elements and the oak and walnut slatted walls combine nicely with the flowers and the green tiles to give that natural touch to the interior designs. The horeca project is made with EGGER Dijon walnut, solid oak en solid walnut. The black steel combines with all the natural elements. Also the use of mirrors in the project gives a good feeling of space.
