Bespoke Fitted Wardrobe in Classical Outlook - Amsterdam

I
n a nice farm house close to Amsterdam, we recently completed a truly elegant bespoke fitted wardrobe that embodies timeless design and expert craftsmanship. Designed for a nice client who wanted to bring a sense of classic charm to their country style home, this project highlights how custom furniture can perfectly balance beauty, practicality, and architectural harmony. Many projects like this are also done in nice canal houses in Amsterdam.

A Classical Look, Made to Measure

The wardrobe features traditional panel doors with beautifully detailed profiles — a refined touch that elevates the entire room. Unlike flat contemporary designs, these classic door profiles create depth and character, bringing a subtle sophistication that feels both historic and tailored.

Every element was made to fit seamlessly within the space, following the contours of the house’s walls and ceiling. This made-to-measure approach is the essence of what we do: designing fitted furniture that looks as though it has always belonged to the home. This cabinet has a highh gloss finish which is very complex to reach with the very elaborate wood profiles. The problem is that you see every dot on high gloss so it is a challenge to approach this.

Bespoke Details for Modern Living

Inside, the wardrobe is fully customized to the client’s lifestyle — with adjustable shelves, integrated drawers, and hanging spaces planned for both seasonal clothing and accessories. Discreet LED lighting ensures everything is visible while maintaining a soft, inviting glow.

The finish was chosen in close collaboration with the client — a warm off-white tone that complements the room’s classic architecture and the natural light also typical of The Netherlands and Amsterdam’s historic homes.

Shaker style and panel doors

Shaker style kitchens and fitted wardrobes were always in fashion. After a modernist movement we see a return to truly classical designs. The Timeless outlook of those crafted wardrobes fit and blend in easily in the Amsterdam living.

How Does the Process of Buying Bespoke Cabinets Look Like?

Every bespoke furniture project begins with understanding our client’s vision and space. We aim to make the process enjoyable and transparent from the very first conversation.

  1. Client Visit & Inspiration
Many journeys begin by visiting our Amsterdam clients at home or they are contacting us online to share their ideas. We explore inspiration together — from classical panelled wardrobes to minimalist fitted furniture.
  2. Intake & Consultation
During the intake meeting, we discuss your needs, lifestyle, and the space where the furniture will be installed. This is where we define your style, preferences, and functional requirements.
  3. Price Offer & Approval
Based on the initial concept, we provide a clear price indication for the project. Once approved, we proceed to the technical phase.
  4. Measuring & Design
We visit your home to take precise measurements and ensure the design will fit perfectly within your space. Then, our designers create a tailor-made design that reflects your taste and maximizes every centimeter.
  5. Work Drawings & Production
Once the design is confirmed, we prepare detailed technical drawings and begin the crafting process in our  workshop. Every piece is handmade using high-quality materials and traditional techniques.
  6. Installation
Our installation team carefully assembles the fitted furniture in your home, ensuring a flawless fit and finish. We take pride in clean, professional installation — leaving your space ready to enjoy.
This clear, step-by-step approach ensures that each project runs smoothly — from the first sketch to the final screw — and that the result perfectly reflects your vision.
