Custom made kitchen, bookcase and wardrobe in black oiled oak.

Our last interior project is delivered and installed in Amsterdam. It is a part of Amsterdam called IJburg. Here pieces of ground can be developed so you can design and build your own house. Our client asked to design a special project. It all had to be in black oiled oak with a modern contemporary outlook but it also had to breath warmth through natural materials.

The project is modern but warm in the same time. Black combines well with the concrete look of the floor and the light oak elements. The open views in the Amsterdam house are accentuated by the glass elements and the different levels in the living room and the nice steps everywhere.

The kitchen has an enormous backwall with the middle part open. Here we have worked consistent with a sense of symmetry. A lot of storage is created and the ovens here are also in black and blend in great.

Take a look at the special range hood. It is a WAVE range hood. In the design phase we have already planned the gap in the concrete ceiling so it could integrated and blend in the ceiling. It is hardly visible and has great power.

The top is a black stone from Silestone Dekton it is called Dolmos. The other piece is in light oak. This parts connects perfectly with the table and the other lighter natural elements.

The backwall combined with the kitchen island is visible from the living room. It is a spectacular eye-catcher. The Amsterdam kitchen design is superb especially with the custom house design with a lot of light.

The bookcase is facing the kitchen and is in the passage area from the higher kitchen to the lower designed living spaces. It is neutral in its position but connects the living with the kitchen. Actually the custom made bookcase is the masterpiece of the living. It gives the color through the books and natural feel to the house which is designed modern. The extra elements on the side and and front go with design of the house and give a sense of playfulness to the house and interior design.

Upstairs in the masterbedroom we have designed a custom made wardrobe all in black oak. It covers the whole left wall and goes around and connect to the opposite part. The mirror on the right side gives the natural depth to the space. Also here the concrete floor combined with the black gives the spectacular hotel and design look to the bedroom. The light and dark colors are neutral and combine well with more colorful elements like accesoires and big pieces of art.

Important elements in this interior building project are the lights that are designed through the whole house. In outlook and the type of light they have to exactly fit the total idea and design.

The art of custom made design, interiors and custom made kitchen lies in the true cooperation between all parties; client, builders, furniture makers and designers and keeping the right line through all parts of the design and the house.
